"MICR" stands for Magnetic Ink Character Recognition. It is a process by which magnetic ink and special fonts are used to print documents and generate information that can be easily fed into the computer, for quick document processing. MICR toner is used for mainly print accounting and routing information on bank checks and other negotiable documents.
